just wondering wht people have got out of the k20a3 with no turbo or super charger, i no it cant be much but im just wondering

(cams, rods, valves, seals, gaskets, wires, plugs, alt, fuel rail, Kpro, etc., etc.. etc...)

...i WISH i could SQUEEZE 195 WHP out of my mini-monster! -for under $2000!

 

I'm sure it was more expensive than a k20a2 swap.

 

I think I saw on either k20a.org or ephatch someones dyno with 195whp but they had a K24A1 block with K20a2 head or k20a3 block with a K20a head. I forgot. So I guess that doesn't really count.

I'm a K-series noob, but I feel like if you can get the compression up into the 11:1 area and have a decently built head, you can make some decent power, even with the "fake vtec" lol

 

There was a build described on Ephatch, I think the guy was sponsored by Skunk2 or something. He did a fully built K20A3 with stage 3 cams and actually passed the 200whp mark if I'm not mistaken. Can't imagine how much he spent, because it was fully built in every aspect, but I guess he at least proved a point.

 

i put down 187 whp with intake, exhaust, k-pro and tune...

about to throw on a turbo kit next week so i will post up on my numbers. Going to be boosting 12 lbs hoping to get 260-270 whp
