Ok so Im attempting to swap a B16A into my buddies Ef for him. I have done numerous swaps in EG's Before but never into an Ef. My Problem is when I traced back the wiring harness to make sure it was right I found that there was an extra small round plug going to the chassis the the chassis harness doesnt have with 3 yelow 2 greens and a red and white. There was also a smaller 2pin plug with a blk with yellow stripe and a blk with white stripe. Another thing that is missing on the engine harness that IS on the chassis harness is the flat 8pin plug.


I traced threw both harness and it seems all the wires are there just in different plugs? Am I correct.. Do I need to chop and splice to make this work?

I will take any answer at this point.. Please help

 

I've tried search but with no luck, Could some one please help me with this.

<U>rule</U> <U>number</U> <U>1</U> <U>for</U> <U>engine</U> <U>swaps</U> - <U>always</U> use the engine harness that came in the car that the new engine is going into and make any necessary wiring changes to that harness - engine harnesses are not interchangeable between different models and sometimes not even interchangeable between different years of the same model

Also the engine harness that was in the car is hacked due to the P.O trying to convert his OBD0 Harness to an 0BD1 so that he could install OBD1 D15 (waste IMO) So reusing the harness that came is out of the question.
