I just looked at your sig. If you can get your old 60ft times you will be in the low-mid 12's. Nice build.

what tuning program?

where is vtec?

what and where is peak timing?

looks to me that the motor would love some more timing

Timing is set at 16...last year with the S100 it was set at 22 but my actual tuner said its better if the timing was at 16!!!

Its tuned with eCtune...

Vtec at 5700rpm...

I was hoping to get peak power closer to 9000rpm but now i end-up with a fuel cutoff at 8600rpm

i dont mean base timing. I mean timing in the WOT portion of the map.

dont worry about the numbers. Look at the graph. with 5 smoothing and the proper ignition timing, the graph should be as smooth as a babies ***.

you have a drop in torque in a very critical area in terms of where you land into the next gear.

did your tuner try setting the crossover at 4700 to alleviate the first dip?

yes I did (I'm the setup tuner)

take a look on the run15 vs run16

run 15 (4700 vtec crossover)
run 16 (5700 vtec crossover)

just the vtec point change

That "dip" is there because he's probably running a CAI which gives the tell-tale bump around 4700. If you ignore the bump, you'll see a relatively straight line from the bottom of the curve up to VTEC.

that exactly what he use

I never try the setup without the CAI, that makes a lot of sences

run2 (tuning from 2007)
run27 (tuning from 2008)

the run 27 has 8 degrees less than the 2007 tuning with more power

did you run into problems with detonation running more ignition timing?

I know its a bit weary running high compression on pump gas. I'm in the same dilemma with my motor. I bet some E85 or some kind of fuel additive to raise the octane would really allow this motor to make some serious power. Just looking at the graph, it looks like a lot of the power is being blown straight out of the exhaust but there is only so much you can do with a high compression motor on pump. Is this 91 or what?

94 pump gaz

with more timing this motor don't make more power with our 94...

so we don't put more advance

with 97 our higher it should be different
