Default SSR Header owners please post.

If any of you guys have a H22 SSR Header could u post a picture of it?

I cant seem to figure out why mine does this

DISCLAIMER: I AM IN NO WAY TRYING TO MAKE SSR LOOK BAD some of you might be thinking that im doubting their skills. In no way am i saying that, the craftsmanship and quality of this piece if amazing. Im just trying to figure out if its something i did wrong or if it happens to be a simple mistake which could happen.

See how the B-pipes/collector are not 90 degreese to the head flange? It points a little to the left. Where it should point straight back.

This would mean that if u attach the exhaust to it at that angle, it will not point straight back but rather towards the rear passanger side tire. I tried to mess with the slip fittings but i cant seem to get it to lign up straight.

Im curious to see if this happend to anyone else.

Thanks guys

I bet that is aimed more at the exhaust tunnel than if it was straight, making reaching the exhaust easier. Whether such an angle is good for mating with the exhaust, idk. Did you talk to SSR about it?

i thought that as well but shouldnt the flange then at least be angled the right way? so maybe point the B pipes towards the tunnel, but then put a small angle on the flange to point it back towards the back of the car. Do u see what i mean?

I sent Danny an email and he wanted to see a picture of the header installed on the car. At this time i wont be able to do this since i have no time nor access to a lift and i dont have a garage. But i fu think about it and picture it installed it only makes sense that the flange will not bolt like this ( ---|--- ) to an exhaust that comes straight down the centerline. But would rather look like this ( / |---- ) excust my crappy diagram, there is no keyboard simbol that agles the right way, just imagine the forward slash was rotated clockwise alot more lol.

EDIT: found a 5th gen SMSP header that has what you were talking about.

I see how its supposed to angle over to fit the tunnel, but then the flange points straight back.

Now, if the donut gasket has some rotational play then it would make sence for it to angle over and then u just bolt up the flex pipe and the donut gasket can pivot a little. IF that is the case then please let me know. Thats why i need other people that have a SSR Header to give me some input.
