Default Roll bar mounting points

Me and a friend of mine a welder have been installing a 6 point roll bar into my 92 hatch. The car is a street legal's drag car for friday nights and driven around town so just a roll bar was done as at best it might run a high 10. I was wondering if the way we mounted the rear struts will pass tech as we welded to the shock towers and the plates welded onto the towers is 1/8 plate 3x3 not the 6x6 NHRA calls for.The main hoop and front struts are/will be on 6x6 plates 1/8 that came with the kit[Comp Eng.].Also how do you guys normally do the front plates as there is a plug that will sit under the plate and make welding over it difficult.I can move it back but that puts it in a bad spot. Thanks pics attached.

a roll bar doesn't have to pass tech so you dont have to worry about the rear bars. i've seen many people do it that way anyway. as for the front plates, fold them 90 degrees just enough so the part that sits on the floor avoids that plug. so one leg is about 2" long, the remaining leg will be 4" long.
