Default Finally got a couple minutes to myself with my new toy... (Dyno inside)

...My brand-spankin' new DynaPack Evolution 3000 dyno.

We finished up a little early this afternoon, and had a little over 30 minutes left in the available dyno operation hours, so I decided to do some tweaking to the K20A2 in my daily-driver.

The setup is:

K20A2
Stock block from valve cover to oil pan
RBC intake manifold
Batlground Engineering 4-2-1 header
2.5" SMSP exhaust
Hondata K-Pro

Here was the baseline from a couple days ago

I wasn't very happy with the seemingly dead spot from 7000 to 8000, so I figured I'd try to "liven" it up.

Here's what I came up with.

Still have a good bit to clean up down low, but I was kinda' pressed for time, as according to our township's noise ordinances, we must cease all dyno operations at 5 PM.

Here's the comparison.

And a comparison against a customer's LSVTEC with Pro1's and 50mm TWM's.

Nice work D-Rob, I didn't know you did tuning? Looks like you cleaned up that dead spot pretty nicely.

It's a fairly new job for me. I've been doing it on the side for a while now, but my good friend John Kerr (J-K-Tuning), my father, and I all went in and decided it was time for a dyno.

wow, nice gains.

Peak WHP didn't increase any and if anything peaked earlier, but we all know peak numbers don't mean ****.

The power you gained must really feel nice on the street.

Congrats on the new dyno, nice toy!

Hey D-Rob, do you know how much power the KPro basemap made. I assume you were using the K20A2-tuned cal. I'm trying to get an idea of how much more tuned power was made versus the KPro base. Thanks for any input.

It is a wonderful toy! Looks like with more time you will be able to find even more power
