rain + freshly paved parking lot + skidding + smaking into the curb = fucked up front suspension.

i just installed a new eibach/tokico combo in the 94 accord wagon and sure enough i **** the whole thing up with the mathematical equation above........

so far were looking at a bent wishbone, control arm, spindle, rim, and possibly a shock. $1200.00 + in damage

can someone give a shoulder to cry on?

I've been there, except I ripped off my fender lining and hydrolocked my engine, killing it.

 

I kerbed my car avoiding a dog back in February . I know how you feel. Just be sure to replace the tie rod end or you will have a wicked pull, and a lot of play on the side you hit. If your brakes still work, then you are lucky.

Which one? I was going about 25-28 when I hit the curb. It was on a turn so it did a lot of damage. It wasn't untill I got a lot of work done until I could drive it the same.

 

Can you replace the broken parts with junk parts?

first of thanks for letting me cry onyour sholders..... ok enuf with that..... i got the car back >> they changed the lower control arm and a front bar too. the wheel is still set back by about 1 inch. kinkda looks dumb cuz its close to the back of the wheel well as opposed to the driver wheel being centered on the other side. it tracks straight so it doesnt look like i have an alignment issue but he is still gonna do more repairs on it next week. looks like the spindle (knuckle) and the shock might have to be changed. the bill so far was writen for about $1050.00 thank God for insurance.

by the way... i was only skidding at about 4-5 miles per hour..... i guess its just the way i smaked the curb. be careful out there guys.... pics to follow as soon as i get it back in 2 weeks.

 

ok folks >> the car is back on the road and I am a happy boy >> 2000.00 bucks later >> thank God for ins. basically the shop changed EVERYTHING: upper and lower arms, crossmember bar, knuckle, etc. the car rides really great.
