Bouncing Tech Needle
I have a crx with a b16a. I installed a aftermarket autometer tach about 2 months ago, but recently when i get into the higher RPM's (over 6k) the needle on both the autoguage and the stoch tach bounces and doesnt read accurate. My shift light even comes on around 6k sometimes. Has anyone else had these problems? Thanks!

Is the engine performance affected too??? If not, open up the distributor and clean it up, specially all the wire connections.. the same thing happened to my friends car. If it does affect the engine its very likely that your rotor is bad. The same exact thing happened to me, it was just a bad lose rotor.
First check you connections at your distributor. Make sure the wires are securely in the connectors. But it has to do with your distributor. I believe your ignitor may be going out.
