ok i have a 95 honda civic and the vss went out replaced it the cluster kept screwn around would wrk then quit workn so replaced it. Has been working fine for 2 months now but the odometer has quit working tach and speedo wrk just the trip and odometer have quit. Any help would be great

 

the gears inside might be broken that is why it doesnt roll. you can replace the cluster or just replace the speedometer part of it. that would fix it.

 

for fear of sounding stupid, i put this out there-

In the wonderful world of Volvo (my native home, lol) the gears in the odometer would strip teeth like they were taped on. Perhaps you have a broken tooth in the odometer drum assembly which is stopping it from rolling? just an idea...
