Loud knocking noise when braking ?
I have like a loud knocking noise when braking & the sound is coming from the back.
I tried driving with the e-brake up to see if it was the back brakes but it doesn't make the noise !!
Could it still be the brakes ??

if its a single knock every time you hit the pedal, it could be a susension arms bushings are completely torn. if this is the case, when ever you hit the brakes, the wheel wants to stop and be behind the car, but the arms that hold it to the car, well their bushings absorb the laod, and if its torn out, then you may hear a knock when they load up, also check for loose bolts for the arms.
I get the same thing except it comes from the front and I can feel it through the pedals. It only happens when I use the brake pedal and it seems like its coming from the front right tire. I just had the brakes replaced 2 weeks ago so I don't know why I'm getting this too.
its a knock knock knock till i completely stop , I'm gonna change the drums cause I just noticed their rusted to **** and I'll check the bolts too , & would the bushings be the lower control arm bushing or are their different ones ??
