hey, just picked up a 1990 integ rs with 254000kms. I noticed my cel light turned on yesterday so I so searched on honda-tech on how to.

I pulled the carpet under the dash and I noticed a red LED light going off (the car was on), gave me a code 9 and 43. I know on the FAQ it says to short the 2 blue connectors and turn the key to IGN position....

Is that flashing red LED on the ecu another way of telling codes?

yes 90-91 ecu have that led and will give you the codes by flashing in sequense

 

thanks for the quick reply, I'll reset the ecu and see if it comes up again and I'll go from there!
