Default Si shifknob assembly

Anyone know how or if the shift **** can be disassembled. I'm wanting to get the leather off of it without marring or cutting the leather itself.

There should be a 19 mm lock nut directly under the shift ****. Loosen the nut and the **** should spin free. It will probably difficult to remove the leather, but you can try cutting the thread and use some adhesive remover to remove the glue if any. Hope that helps.

Yeah, I already got the **** off but I wasn't sure if the leather was tucked back under itself or the aluminium.

I'll be sure to put up before and after pics when I finish wrapping it in faux carbon fiber tape and glue leds to it. I saw it in a yet to be released issue of Hot Version on the Spoon Type-R. The car gained something like 3.14159 hp and revs to 19000 rpm now. It's a secret that all F1 teams use.
