Have you ever seen a convertable CRX???
theres one at my work today ...its extremely clean....red, a tan soft top that looks like you unsnap a small part of it and its a convertable,its not a hatchback either, totally OEM......some 40 yr old lady drives it...its completely stock, anyone have any info on these???

They made them in 1984 or 86. Not sure how many..
edit: those int he years ive mentioned above were produced mainly in europe.

We were just discussing this in another forum.
It was a conversion offered by a company calle Straumann back in the mid 80's... Only a couple hundred ever got built, but the first gen was a very good job... a trunk was installed in place of the hatch, the top didn't leak, and there was a cross brace welded under the floorpan, as well as bracing in the doors... C&D used one for a small project, and ended up giving it away to a reader... the actual car was on EBAY a couple years ago... didn't sell for much though... Sorry, odd CRX knowledge is an area I excel in... hehe....
if i found a clean one, i would buy it. slap a stock B20 or B16A and your set. its like a retro s2000. i have a special place in my heart for 86-87 CRX and Civic's.
