35r Expectations Exceeded
Just got the car off the dyno - it has been waiting for almost a year now to see some dyno time. Here's a quick rundown of the setup
85mm ls/vtec w/ gsr crank.
wiseco 8.8-9.0:1 (forgot the exact compression) and eagle rods
b16 head with all the goodies from RLZ ENGINEering with CTR cams
motor build and dyno tuning by RLZ ENGINEering as well.
a big thanks for howard and brad, robin and all my friends who helped get this thing done by my rediculous deadline.
turbo is the t3 gt3582r. manifold is from AFI. Tial 44, and 50mm bov, etc etc.
I was really hoping to see 630whp out of this turbo, but to my surprise:
669 whp @ 27 psi on q16
410 lb/ft
(I am @ work, so I will post a dyno graph when I get it uploaded)
I didnt think it would hit even close to this number, so I was very happy.
Here is a little video some friends of mine made. it was the the first time out at the track for this car and over a year since I have been. So yes, I know it could have been driven better. We also had some issues that kept me from being able to hit the rev limiter, but i think we have that figured out.

That's what I meant
. Impressive for sure out of the .82 a/r, what type of dyno was this on?

Nice numbers out of a 35R I can see the difference with having a bigger bore running that turbo. I'm making 580 with 26lbs on stock sleeves though...Nice I'm going to be happy when i put my new block in...Got any engine pics?
P.S. Why didn't you take it up a little more on the boost?

yes, the turbo was pretty much maxxed out there. boost kept falling off after 27psi so we just left it there.

1st and 2nd gear was roughly 18 psi (around 500whp)
3rd was 23 psi and 4th was 27 psi.
the car was having an issue that i dont know what it was .... if it hit the rev limiter, the next gear would get "stuck" in rev limiter at random rpms. for example, if i hit rev limiter in 1st gear, 2nd gear would not rev past 2500 rpm. sometimes it was 3500 rpm. we think it's an ignition thing, and we are trying something new on it for the track thursday.
so to answer the question, that time was a 10.9 @ 139 mph with a 1.89 60' time and keeping the car OFF rev limiter in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th, and if you know hondas, that kills any good track times and is hard as **** to do without bogging the car down really bad. the 1/8mile time was 7.3 @ 108mph i think on that pass. it's definitely got alot more in it and pulls very hard. just gona take some seat time and work out the bugs. mostly the seat time haha - i'm not the greatest driver to ever live ....

there may be some truth in that. they stay very busy, but i think you could find a slot pretty easily. the wait time will be your head work - brad has alot of heads to do, but the wait is worth it for his quality of work!

I will soon. I have to do most of this @ work - no internet @ home. I will have the dyno graph up by around 8 am tomorrow morning. also I will try to get some pictures of the car or some engine bay shots.

Real nice numbers. That larger hotside is where your seeing the extra power you werent expecting. form .63 to .82 its a nice gain up top and the spool really isnt much different between the two especially on a 2 liter

yeaaa. that t3 full race mani you hooked me up with didnt fit too well since i was still trying to use the AFI downpipe with it. i didnt feel like modifying the dp, so i sold it to a good friend. and that t4 full race mani you got me is being "borrowed" right now by a good friend. thanks for getting me hooked up w/ that stuff terry.

they stay way too busy to answer phones. i know it's a pain sometimes, but if you are in the area just ride by. they are always there! except today, it's track day as long as the weather holds up
