Default 99 Accord - Changing the master and slave clyinder

Anybody knows how to insert that pin back into the groove on the new master cylinder. I replace my master because it was leaking. Only thing is I can't get that pin to go in for the clutch line. I was wondering if there is any tool or trick to it.

I had the same problem with the slave. The slave was even worse. It had a small pin that was almost impossible to get out. I had to cut the old one to remove the clutch line. I tried for hour to put that small pin back in but no luck. After that I just used a cotter pin on the slave. Seems like its holding up good. I actually lost the pin in the process of trying to push it in, that's why I had to use a cotter pin.

If any body has any ideas on pushing this thing in, I really appreciate it.

Many thanks.
