prelude ecu swap
hello honda tech im new to the prelude scene im actually asking this question for a buddy of mine. we were planing on swaping out his obd2b ecu for a obd1. its a 99 honda prelude auto( h22a4 non type s) anybody know a place where i could get the auto ecu as well as the jumper harness i read up on the ecu is it possible to use the p13. the reason we want to do this is cause we plan on running neptune in it with the jackson racing supercharger thanks.
Many places sell the OBD2 to OBD1 conversion harness such as Phearable.net, Boomslang Fabrications, and Rywire... As far as the auto ECU there is a way to convert an auto to a manual and vice versa. The instructions for the conversion differ slightly in the location of the resistor and the terminal that must be jumped for every ECU. If you check the Prelude FAQ you will find a walk through for the stock 5th gen ECU. P13 is able to be chipped but the features and maps available are very limited at this time. A P28 would be the better choice if you plan on tuning, lots of maps and full featured.
