engine bay

Default engine bay

Well i just finished up the last of my bodywork and paint , installed my Da center console , installed my stereo . Now what id really like to do is clean the engine bay. Anyone have any tips on how to go about it ? Never done it before so what kind of product should I use etc.. Any help would be appreciated

its a lot easier with the motor out of the car. more room to work.

Isnt there products that you can spray and then hose down ?? Like i said ive never done it before , correct me if im wrong. If there is , does anything have to be covered , like air box etc....??

cover sensitive stuffs, spray on, let sit, lather, rinse, repeat

simple green auto degreaser to clean the engine bay.

And if you want to clean up all the wiring in the engine bay for a cleaner look, you can do a wire tuck. Check the FAQ.

put a plastic bag over your distributor and air filter and other things that you don't want wet. spray with simple green wait 5 mins scrub with a soft brush spray with simple green again scrub again spray off with the hose be careful around the spark plug area as the water likes to get down by the plugs and cause a miss fire. if that happens, take out the plug wires from the plugs and spray it out with a air hose
