oil catch can idea help
i was wanting to install a oil catch can using a air compressor accumulator. my question is can i still use pcv valve and run it to the accumulator? and can i T the valve cover into this? and can i run the other end to the intake to create vacume to pull the gases through???? ive never done this i usually run a hose off the black boxs on the motor and dump it on the ground but i figured id do something diff because im tired of smelling oil fumes in the car
ive been experimenting with PCV designs for 5 years. The PCV valve is so restrive that any added length of hose will prevent the proper ammount of vacuum.
Pulling from the Intake arm wont help because the air will be 99% pulled from the filter. No matter what, even with a slash cut because the hose restriction will be greater than the air filter.
The best way I have still found is stock. I ran an inline catch can connected to the IM, and that didnt work because the added hose length just added more of a restriction, so the air was being more dedicated from the IACV
