my girl owns a 98 civic lx and the drivers door wont open at all from the inside or out...is there a way to get the door panel off without breaking it?

yeah, there is, but its not easy, and i did kinda break my panle a little bit at the end where the top vinal section meets the lower plastic, basically you take all the screws out, pop the speaker grill off, and take out those 3 screws too, i have crank windows, so i just had to take the clips out and pull the hadle off, idk how the power ones are diff at all, but basically you need to try to pop those little white clips out, just try and pull the door panel twards the inside of the car to pop them, then lift up and to the inside a little and it should come off hopefully, i had to do it to my pass side twice, fisrt time was my mistake, i put rear sedan door handles on my front to get rid of the key holes, and didnt set the adjustment screw right, and put the panle on and the door was locked for about a week till i tried to take it off, and the other time my door lock actuator arm screw came loose and jamed it, mostly bc everybody that rides in my car always slams the pass door really hard

 

cool thanks for the response. i've tried everything but ripping the door panel off ....i was just gonna hack it up, but i wanted a replacement panel befor i went to town on it. this trial thing wont let me post up in the classifieds. all day at hunts point today in the junkyards and no one has a civic door panel
