I just purchased this car and love it already....shortly after purchasing we noticed that occasionally the instrument panel lights would flicker,primarily when coming off a highway to stop,this only lasted a few seconds.The check engine light would come on shortly after and go out the next day or so.The car ran beautiful before,during and afterward.I had the car scanned and codes cleared but the scenario kept repeating itself.I pulled the " electronic load detector" from the fuse box and the lights stay off but the check engine light still comes on and off every other day.Since the Honda dealer only sells the complete fuse box,I have been looking for a used box with the eld intact.I found one on ebay that is out of a 2001 four cylinder.

Does anyone know if the fuse boxes are interchangeable and will the transplant resolve the intermittent check engine light activity.

 

Yes they should interchange between 4cyl models.

I could swear there was a SB in the past few months that listed the ELD as a seperate part.
