93 honda accord 2.2l 4cyl usa/ex......timming belt broke.....bent exhaust valve on #1 cylinder....so i replaced whole head, gaskets, water pump, timming components,...cylinder walls looked in good shape....now....the head i received was listed as a replacement for my year and model.f22a sohc ,but, was slightly different when i got it as far as where the distributor coil mounts and a small piece of the upper timming belt cover. since i got it back three days ago my engine light is on and my d4 flashes constantly. on the highway when i get up to about 60 mph it to seems rough. some things i might mention to help better. i drove the car once a day when the valve was bent. only two miles a day to work and home i would put it in neutral when i would stop at stop sighns or red lights when i could avoid the motor fighting itself due to only running on three pistons..... sorry if my post are lenghthy..and im posting this here because i think one of you can help me so instead of throwing parts at my car im trying to throw as much info at any one who can throw info back... sorry in advance if i mispelled, mi prnounced or confused any one just asking for some input here Modified by ottoman213@hotmail.com at 12:25 PM 5/20/2008

do you think the difference ,if any, in the head would throw the computer off i figuired if the head is incompatable it wouldnt run at all.
Perhaps check the wiring harness that runs under the distributor, maybe some thing was left unplugged, or wires damaged.
I cannot think of any reason the head change would cause the D4 light to turn on; meaning of course that the TCU has a code stored.
To check the codes jumper the blue two pin connector located at the passenger side kick panel and turn on the key.
Watch the CEL and D4 light for pulses.
A long flash is equal to a ten count and a short flash is equal to a single digit count.
