Uh I think I have a nice problem on my hands... tranny? t/o bearing?
Hey guys i drive a 98 gs-r with a jdm b18c sir-g. Motor has around 50k on it but u never kno with a jdm motor...
heres my issue(s):
1. first i heard a really bad grinding metal on metal rhythmic whirring noise when the clutch pedal was depressed, it would go away when i disengaged the clutch. so i though hm new throw out bearing perhaps?
2. drove a little more it had trouble engaging into first but i can still hear the noise in between all the gears, while in gear there is no noise and no loss of power as far as i can tell
3. hard if not impossible sometime to put it into gear but it can be forced into gear if i shove it in.
4. when putting it into reverse no matter how i do it there is a fatty loud grind.
5. when sitting in my drive way with the clutch in when i attempt to put it into ANY gear there is a grinding and whirring noise before it will go in.
Any feedback would be awesome thanks all!
