Hawk or Project mu B-Force brake Pads
I have a 00 Si. What do you guys recommend with slotted rotors? This is for street use. I don't know what models, any reccomendations? Of course I need pads that last as long or more than the stock honda.

I have an 94 integra LS, and i know it is different than an SI but i have Project mu pads and i like them ALOT. i have cross drilled rotors with the pads and they are a great setup for the street, my opinion anyways. Maybe they are not the best for race but they work great for me. good luck
I had the project Mu pads in my car, with the powerstop slotted rotors... NEVER AGAIN will I buy project mu products. AFTER bedding them in, they faded more than my stock pads. MORE! And this is on a slotted rotor! Not to mention that they were $110 for a set of the pads!
I would go with Hawk HP or HP+ pads... nothing could be worse than the Project mu pads.

I'm going to have to recommend the Axxis Ultimate for your Civic Si in the front. Your choice of brake pads is not affected by the type of rotor you are using, but rather, the type of driving you are doing.
The Axxis Ultimate has an OEM dust level, runs quiet, is rotor friendly with good wear rates, has 15-20% more braking torque over OEM, and is fade-free to 1000F (versus 650F for OEM). In short, it is an excellent high-performance brake pads for aggressive street driving, Solo-2 autocross, and drag racing.
I am carrying the Axxis Ultimate for the Civic Si for $63.75 (list price), but Honda-Tech.com members receive a 15% discount until the end of August on the Axxis Ultimate. Your price right now would, therefore, be $54.19 + shipping. They are in stock and ready to ship.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you. You can visit our new website at http://www.cobaltfriction.com .

How much better are the Hawk HPS+ pads? Im looking to get those right now but Id like to know how more noise, dust and rotor wear they are over Hawk HPS pads.
Trending Topics
I run Hawk HP on my street Integra GS and love them. Excellent bite when cold but have good modulation and excellent stopping power. I run stock Honda pads on the rear since these do not do much anyway.
I also run Hawk Blues on the front of my ITC CRX with excellent success.
I am personally not a fan of slotted or cross drilled rotors since I do not thing they do much for you except looks.
You do need to make a decision about good performance pads and long life- you do not get both.

The HP Plus will have notably more initial bite and fade resistance over the HPS, but it will also be dustier and noisier, and a bit more rotor aggressive. Yes, it is a compromise.
Drop me an e-mail at andie@cobaltfriction.com and detail exactly what you are looking for (including the year/model of your car), and I'll put together a list of reasonable choices for you to pick from.

I have never had any fading problems with my Project Mu pads. I dont thrash on them or run autocross or anything though so like i said before maybe they are not the best for racing use. But for my normal to aggressive street driving, with the occasional drag race they are great. and I only paid $80 for them.
