Default Hesitation only on partial throttle

99 civic with a b18b stocker, p06 chipped with a b18b stocker map.

recently the car starts to hesitate (as in loss of power, not quite a misfire) after running for a bit around 3000-3500 rpm with just partial throttle, happening most commonly with some highway driving in 5th. this also happens more commonly when it is damp out, but will still happen when it is bone dry out. happens almost every day.

in order to get rid of it I just flip my ignition on/off quickly and it's gone. ALSO, if I give it full throttle it goes away until I go partial throttle, but if I drive it wot long enough and shift through a few gears it will go away itself.

anyone?

im going to start with plugs/wires/dizzy and then check my injectors and then maybe the map from the ecu? it really only started since i put the stock map on the ecu, but I dont understand how it can be the ecu when it is affected when it is damp or raining out.

thanks

On a dry day, take your distributor cap off and see if there is build up of corrosion within. Your cap may be leaking, possibly combined with a worn rotor. Your distributor igniter might also be going out.

If that checks out, it may be your TPS. Verify there is a linear increase in voltage as you step the throttle from 0 to WOT. Your fuel pump may also be on its way out. Because it seems to happen in all weather conditions, I wouldn't rule out any of these things.
