I'm wondering if Acura will cover warranty on synchros in the tranny if I have a short shifter on my R. I doubt they will because they are so **** about everything. If I swap back to the stock shifter then they should cover it with no problem right? I really hate going to Acura for service but I need my tranny looked at and don't want to be charged for anything that should be covered. Thanks for any heads up you all can give me. dealers in IL suck

 

My dealer told me that transmission isnt covered after 12000 miles.

 

really, but wouldnt tranny be considered drivetrain....and covered in the warrnty

 

If thats the case i'm screwed anyways. I'm at 26000. I hope thats not the case, anyone else have comments?

Hello??....Transmission is part of the drivetrain on a car. It should be covered by the warranty unless the cause of the synchros failure they determine is not under "normal" circunstances. You know, they get **** about it.

 

I guess it's worth a try to bring it in and check...It'd probably be a good idea to swap back to my stock shifter though wouldn't it?

 

i would swap back . . . . take 10 min out of your day , and make it easier to get a free tranny
