How do yo take this off?
Hi
on my last part on switching tan to black interior in my car but
I do not know how to change the e-brake' covers
I can take off the 2nd piece but not the first piece, my friends and I have tried many times but no luck.
I am willing to swap out the whole e-brake unit but I don't know what to unbolt, etc

on my integra (DA) u dont even have to unscrew it, just twist and pull pretty hard and it will come off. but just to make sure, you should try circling in your pic what exactly you are trying to remove
make sure you're parked on a flat surface and put some stops behind and in front of the wheels. then take off the entire arm rest. then just unbolt the ebrake assembly and slide off the ebrake cables.

I sawed mine off
Literally. Well...to be honest I sawed most of it going in the direction from the button down. I didn't saw all the way down but most of it. Used a box cutter later and slowly trimmed it to the point where I used a really big screw driver and pryed it off. But if you do use my method, be very patient and VERY careful. Do not rush it.
Only reason why I did what I did was because I was in the same boat you're in. No matter how hard I tried to twist it, or pull it.....the damned thing would NOT come off. I've even had other people try. It was rather amusing knowing that I wasn't the only one cussing and swearing at it with everything known in the book

Is it easy to put the cables back in place? and how many bolts are there

lol dude it isnt screwed on, and it isnt perminatly stuck there. its just glued with very fine glue that breaks with force, but not weak enough to brake when using it.
alsokeep in mind its old, proyl got some other grease, grime, and what not so.. put some muscle into it or get somebody other then your skateboarder buddies to do it., twist/pull same time, DONE

ok so you have the armrest off and removed the screws holding the ebrake, now unplug the ebrake sensor clip and move it backwards and turn it to one side and slide the pin out, then repeat for the other side. remove ebrake and change to a tan one.
i don't know about changing the covers. the bottom one its possible but the top might be more difficult. of course ppl have replaced them with the ricer APC ones so i guess its possible.
