Default My 85.5x92 build

Ok my old 81x87 build was tossed out the window so now im moving onto better things. 1st of all I had no intentions of doin this build but I came across a 92mm SCAT crank and couldn't resist. My old BCspec4s are gone as well so here the new

Custom Cp slugs 13.8.1CR
Custom Brian Crower Rods (still waiting for them)
92mm SCAT crank
Moroso oil pan

-Head
OBD-0 B16
Portflow full race port and polish with valve job
Skunk2 Pro springs
S2 ti. Retainers
Supertech std. Flat valves
S2 Pro3 Cams
Buddyclub cam gears
Edelbrock victorx im
Omni 68mm tb
440cc injectors

-Trans
00 b16 hydro
Itr lsd
Itr 4.7fd
Clutchmaster twin disc

As soon as my rods come in I will be starting the actual building process. This thread will be updated with pix in the near future.

Love the motor plans, I was thinking of building something similar and the fact its going in an EF makes me like it even more.

Yeah it should be a good 215x + cc's with the stroker crank and almost maxed out bore so basically h22 sized (which I think come 87bore x 90.7 stroke).

bore x bore x stroke x .7854 x # of cyl. = 2113cc's.

Okay the best way to calculate cc's is the same way the factory does it which is 0.0031414 x stroke x bore x bore= total cc's

So in this case

0.0031414x 92x 85.5 x 85.5=2112.7266

And what is 2112.7 rounded up? (Which is what every single sanctioning body does)

I don't c y ppl say aww it won't run unless its got hondata. That bs plus I wanna b different and the power fc is real easy to use, I know I've tuned many rotaries with them. Its prob 1 of the best stand alone under $1k.

I deal with that all the time myself. "Aww, you should ditch that POS, and get Hondata". I've used Power FC in over 4 engines, mine and the family's. Those systems are nice, easy to use, and substitute a ton of guages at the same time. I've no regrets of using it whatsoever, and it gets rather boring hearing that same stuff all the time. It works for what I need, so others shouldn't worry about it.

May I ask how many miles a year will this motor be seeing? Ive always thought about building a 2.0 gsr (I know your's is a 2.1L) but you never hear about alot of daily use so that shys me away.

Well this engine is goin to b goin into my weekend warrior. The car is mostly gonna b used at the track, with the ocassional street race lol. At 1st I was gonna make it a daily but I don't wanna b driving this car everyday. I'd stay with my da9 for the daily attracts less attention. So probaby around 1-2k miles a year!

I know this ain't the same but my cousin has a 85X89 all motor build, drives it about 6k miles/year. Over 3 years now so he's close to 20k miles. Still running great.

Yea 89mm crank is oem will last 4eva, not saying the 92mm won't but it all depends onb how engine is built and maintained.

As 4 fuel im prob gonna use like c12 or some other among those lines! If anyone has a recomended fuel please lmk. Thanx!

Isn't e85 ethanol. How many octane is this fuel, and can I just pour it in and go or to I need a bigger fuel setup like bigger/secondary injectors. And where can I get it and what r the advantages over c12

yes e85 is 85% ethanol (hence the name E85) , and its 105 octane, im guessing your already running a better fuel pump like walbro or something but you will have to run bigger injectors than you normally would, the real advantage of e85 is its price, average price where i live is around $2.25 a gallon
