Ive got a stock 97 DX hatch, and ive been getting 300 or more on a normal basis. Its definitely better than my 95 Mustang V6.

I hear that the 92-95 single cams get better MPG'S the the 96-00 due to the less power in the 92-95 i know mine is slow as hell!

what gas mileage did your si get.
Usually if you have a bigger motor in a small car you get great gas mileage.
I get about 28-30 something usually.
95 cx hatch with a gsr

i got a 1995 CX hatch and i love it (CX and VX) have the better trannys and have extremly long gearing. best mpg's i got was 43 but that was all hwy. But found out last week when i went for emissions that im buring gas.

future plans is the jdm 1.5 so far ive seen as high as 55 mpg with that motor

just some FYI 92-95 vx and cx 2500rpm=76mph
92-95 dx and lx 2500rpm= 61mph

Nice! I love driving a Honda. In my 98 Infiniti I30 I was getting 18-20 MPG and now that I have a 94 CX I'm getting 30+ on a regular basis. Last week I got 35 MPG (driving like a [freak]ing grandma!)! I think that's pretty damn good for having a B18C1 in there.

Heh! You're gonna hate this...

Let me translate - those notes were for me, not the web...

Left-side receipt:

2000 CiViC HX - went 600 miles and was close to empty, but didn't feel like filling the tank - so, I put in 2.008 gallons and drove for another 100 miles before filling up.

To be exact, I went 704.2 miles on 11.366 gallons of gas, e.g. 61.956 MPG!

Right-side receipt:

1998 CiViC HX with a full 1999 Si Swap. Just your average fill-up, e.g. 37.8 MPG...

LoL!

Guess I'm just lucky that way...

Dang. There was once a 1995 Civic DX for sale that had 934,000 miles on it and still ran good, anyone remember that, I think it was on Craigslist. That car is what sold me on using Castol on my Civic. Just thought you'd like to hear that testimony of a DX's overall great economy.

He goes to 100 MPH on the highway and then he turns off his engine and coasts until hes doing 60 then he turns it back on and drafts off the trucks on 5th gear

DXs are great for economy!

Matter of fact, the HX is just a DX block with a Star Trek head and laboratory grade O2 sensors...

OMG!!! I almost forgot about that...

Before they 'fixed' the highway, there used to be a 9-mile long downgrade...

I'd start at the top @ 55 MPH, put it in neutral, and coast to the bottom @ idle.

LoL!

If I didn't hit the brakes on the way down, I'd be doing 90-100 MPH @ the bottom - no kidding!

Anyway, I obviously do a LOT of highway driving - approx. 100 miles a day - 90% highway 10% street.

That's how I get mileage like that...
