Default check engine light error..

went to autozone today to get my check engine light read.

the scanner wasnt able to read it with it always erroring out. they said it was something from the car causing that.

anyone had this problem before and how do you fix it?

this is for a 00 gsr.

Have you tried the paper clip method in the FAQ?

do you have anything done to your car? because ever since i had my Hondata S300 installed on my car, the scanners and paper clip methods dont work. always get errors. i have to use a laptop and my S300 software to read the codes.
