Default 01 ex coupe looking for a mild lowering

7th gens are new to me.using the stock struts/shocks what spring will lower me 1.5",increase handiling andstill ride nice.i was looking at S2 or prokits

Skunk2 makes horrendous suspension parts IMO, ProKits work but the drop is minimal. I also HIGHLY recommend new shocks to accompany your springs, namely Koni Yellows or KYB AGX's.

the eibach pro kits give the 7th gen civic a 1 inch drop all around. will it be ok with stock shocks?

Describe "ok"

The problem is the stock struts simply do not have the valving to deal with a lowered ride height and increased spring rates.

So even if you don't ruin the OEM struts right off the bat, the ride will still be pretty rough and bouncy, not to mention handling will be far from ideal.

I'm pretty low on stock struts , Does not ride good though...
