Default 87 SI Trans on its way out

Looking to get a trans for my beater car, wondering if any cable d series trans will work in my 87 civic si. Thanks

no, only a trans from and 84-87 civic/CRX will work. You really want to stick with an SI trans too since the gearing is much different vs. an HF or DX.

I have a spare 87 CRX Si trans, $150 shipped.

You know you want an Si trans w/Quaife. See the FS thread.

As stated 84-87. I tried bolting the 87 trans I have to an A1 block and no go. A1 block supports 88+ trans so none of them will work on the pre 88.
