Default Noise from tire/wheel bearing/hub/axle? Help?

I have a '99 EX coupe and about 2 years ago when I was replacing my clutch, I couldn't get the axle out of the hub, I tried heating it, pb blaster, everything. Ever since there's been a noise coming from that side that sounds kind of like choppy tires but it's not b/c I've put 2 different sets of wheels on it and the noise is still there! Just today I got the axle out and put a new one in it but it still makes the noise. It's definitely coming from the side with the axle problems. It's sounds like "wahh wahh wahh" and it speeds up and slows down with the speed of the vehicle...

What could it be? Is the wheel bearing bad? If it is the wheel bearing, is it cheaper to just get a new hub assembly? Any help is greatly appreciated.

yeah, if it's not all the way in the tranny, the clutch won't engage. And I made extra certain the axle nut is all the way tightened...

I have the same noise thought it was the bearings it was not it was the front disc shilds rubbing against the rotor during turns and at diff. temps!
