A friends hatch got stolen from the outside parking lot no further than 50 yards from the gates. Sometime between 2-4 pm saturday.

I wont even go into all the other belongings he had in the car but this is definately putting him between a rock and a hard place financially.

The maryland police said that 5 were stolen last year and that they had found the vehicles completely stripped, one even burned.

So if anyone hears of someone trying to selling the above please call the Maryland state police, Virginia state police, or me (434.242.3387) and I will relay the info to the owner of the car.

f*ck thieves..i've had more than enough experience with them. it's sad that you can't have a hobby without worrying about somebody taking your pride and joy away from you. these days the theft rate is so high its unbelievable. everyday i see or hear about someone else's car that got stolen. it just sucks..lets pray these criminals are brought to justice and we can enjoy our passion peacefully

 

Remember, always spend that extra $10-$15 to park in the pits, especially at MIR.

but I will keep an eye out.

 

Just an update:
They found the car monday on the side of the road in prince george near MD. It had a green hood and stock honda wheels on it but was completely stripped otherwise. Now he's gotta pay impound fees and towing fees and deal with title work at DMV to get the car back...
Also, I got a heads up that some of his parts may be listed on craigslist as a few items recently posted looked identical to his (namely his GSR seats...)

 

Doesn't surprise me that they found it in PG county.

Post up the craiglist links too so we can narrow down a thief if possible?
