Aftermarket Sway Bars vs. ITR rear sway
Hello all..hope everyone's weekend was good!
I am in the market for a rear sway bar for my GSR. I was wondering if any 22mm aftermarket rear sway is comparable to the ITR Rear Sway bar. The reason I am asking is because I may buy a used Progress 22mm bar from a fellow H-T member and I want to know if I should spend my $$ on that or should I get an ITR one?
Any input (except haters
) is appreciated!
-Thanks

Thanks Scary...I'm also wondering about the quality of Progress. Does anybody have experience with this particular brand? Thanks

i have the skunk2 21 mm swwaybar. I like it. the progress and ITR bar are 22mm, so they should perform the same
Anybody have experience with Progress? TIA
do not get skunk2 rear lower tie bar unless you plan on moving your ABS lines & rewelding them under control arm
i bought one for my 98 GS-R, came across this problem. i'll probably go w/ comptech setup.

The last time I looked at the progress rear sway bar install, it suggested getting some welding. Other than that potential inconvience, it's design looked solid. I have the beaks/itr combo and love it. Rotation is wonderful.
I like Suspension Techniques anti-roll/swaybar kit
its cheap like 250 .. comes with everything you need... and the bars are soooo heavy duty and quality its insane ... i stay planted on the ground taking turns at 70/80mph
kids dont try that at home (:
if there is any negative on them .. they are sooo heavy duty its gonna add a little weight ... you can seriously work out with the rear sway bar (;

Ive been wanting to get the eibach kit f and r but want to hear someoen elses opinion first.. S/T and Eibach are probably very similar but im going with the eibach theme throughout...ghey i know but I like.
I have the Comptech tiebar/swaybar kit. Very nice, adjustable, and easy to install. For the budget I would recomend a factory ITR bar with the kits sold on the board.
Im surprised BSQ isnt in here yet...he prolly had some experience with different bars.
. I haven't heard any feedback on the Progress rear swaybar on a G3 Integra, only on the G2 Integra. The Type-R rear swaybar is the most popular swaybar by far. Mainly because of the cost ~$105-$110, its an OEM part and it is extremely reliable and trouble-free.
The Comptech rear tie bar/swaybar combo is another popular choice, but it is rather pricey ($360-$400). It is has an integrated tie bar and it is adjustable (3 position). But the endlinks can become rather noisey.
Eibach and Suspension Technique both sell a front and rear swaybar kit for ~$250. But, I haven't heard much feedback on either of these.
A good swaybar combination for the G3 Integra is a 24mm front swaybar and a 22mm rear swaybar (same combination as the Integra Type-R). This setup will give a very neutral handling balance (ie. no understeer/no oversteer).
