Cel #8 then car died

Cel #8 then car died
Earlier in the day i got a Cel and checked it and it was Cel #8. Top dead center sensor.
And then later in the evening before i checked what it was i was driving home and my car started sputtering like it was missing, then it just died on me i tried restarting it and it wouldnt start. I just recently adjusted the timing and i didnt know if that has somethign to do with it. so now my car is dead and i dont know where to start looking.
any ideas.
btw i drive a 94 Ex with a d16z6
