Default Ricer question: Anyone seen a CF roof skin?

Hey guys,

My roof (specifically sunroof plug) is in rough shape. The sunroof plug is a flat sheet of metal riveted with about 100 rivets. Trying to take that out and patch the holes would be a pain.

Anyone know of a CF (or fake fiberglass) roof skin that would go on top of the roof for a 4th gen Prelude? I've seen them for other cars, but not on a Prelude. It'd look good with my CF hood and trunk.. Otherwise, I'm painting it flat black to hide the dents. :S

Thanks guys. Sorry I'm a ricer. I'll move to Appearance and Cosmetic if you want.

I have a Lighter Faster CF sunroof plug, and it's a pretty good piece; however I have never seen a complete CF roof panel on a Prelude. Is such a thing HC legal?

As long as it's just covering the existing metal roof and metal roof plug, I don't see why it wouldn't be. I'd call it body repair or cosmetics at that point, or a really thick sticker. It wouldn't be replacing anything on the roof skin, just covering it.

I have a complete CF sunroof but I dont think thats what your looking for. Its not a plug but just a replacement panel for the stock metal one. You could just buy a sheet of cf andd lay it on top with some resin or what not. There is a wright up on superhonda of a guy who make his own CF arm rest with a sheet of CF and some resin.

I know it's a member here who makes the Civic & Integra roof skins...I think his name 'carbonall' or something of that nature.

I think it's an awesome idea for covering a sunroof hole, but for cosmetic purposes it's a bit much. Then again showcars are showcars and people do go crazy with that stuff....to each his own.

i was wondering about this a while back when i saw it on an integra. i thought about doing the cf sunroof plug, but i'd rather cover the whole roof than just have a non-functioning cf plug. but fiberglass would work nicely too. paint it and no one would ever know.
