is it ok to increase the amp fuse?
ok so i installed the jdm fog lights on my 95 gsr. i hooked up everything like the directions said. but the thing is that im poping a 10 amp fuse. this fuse is the (cluster, licence plate and parking lights.) (first dot of the light switch) so i want to put like a 20 amp fuse in there. is it ok for me to increase the amp fuse untill it wont pop anymore? the fog light harness has a fuse itself too. what do you guys think.
I wouldn't increase the fuse size, as it can damage the wire harness. Can you connect the fog lights on their own circuit with the proper gauge wire and appropriate fuse?
Fuses are meant to blow if the power exceeds the recommended limit for the rest of the **** on that circuit.. Meaning, if it's safe for you to run 50A to your headlights etc, you wouldn't have a 10A fuse.
Don't increase it. If it's blowing, something is wrong. Check all your wiring again.

ok if you look at the fuse box underneath the column theres 5 ports that are open and are numbered. the fog light harness plugged right into each port but it depends which port you use because they do diff things. port 2 had my alarm pluged in i believe. and port 2 only had power when i turn the parking lights on. so i spliced the harness of the fog lights and connected that white wire because it was originally there. im putting in another accessory so i think it should be ok to put a stronger fuse because of the fogs.
