Default arp rod bolts ???

I recently finish my engine build and replace the rods on my d16 with eagles and i really get peranoid about everything....the motor is currently running (900 miles) with out any problems granted i only rev up to 3500 rpm because i am trying to break it in. the question is, when i install the rods i only did a two step torque down (17lbs to 37lbs) with moly lube (ARP Bolts). Do you think they are going to hold up since i didnt use the stretch gauge or did the tighten-loosen method (retorque 3x). any advice would be great, if any acton should be taken w/o taking the motor all apart, please let me know.

P.S
I am going to turbo this motor as soon as i break it in if that makes any difference and i also posted this question on d-series.org but trying to see if i get any new advice.

thanks in advance

if they weren't pre stretched when you got them pressed in then while you are driving the bolts WILL stretch and eventually blow up the earth..

but seriously
you need to get them prestretched by whoever puts them in.. my machine shop included it with the work and stretched them to specs.

as for the break in... it all has to do with seating the rings within the first 20 miles or so of rebuild... otherwise they will not seat themselves within the bores causing low compression and even oil to burn

whatever the "loosen tighten" method would involve doesn't sound good at all.
if you do that you could even overstretch the bolt and ruin the threading

engines need very precise measurements and specs in order to not only function but hold together... this can't be just a "slap together job"

well you can. but you'll regret it

loosen-tighten method which means to torque to the correct specs and loosen and retorque, doing that about 3x. its another way ARP instructs you to do installing the bolts even though the stretch gauge is preferred. i am just wondering if that would be safe to do even if the motor has been ran.

well i guess from the replys i can either leave it or take the motor apart and redo the bolts which won't happen. i wish there is a better solution.
