sound like the machine shop f'd up something. i would take them back there and ask them how they expect you to get them off.

Even stock rod bolts can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, try using a penetrating lube, if that doesn't work take them back to the machine shop and ask them to show you a method on how to remove them w/o damaging anything.

what you do is... put the nut back in about 5 turns.. get a rubber hammer n tap the nutt.. till it comes off..it will break loose

That works well if the rods are on the crank.

But this technique can still be used. Clamp the cap in a vice (use soft jaws or rags to protect the rod) with the rod/piston hanging below. Thread the nut on 5 turns or so and hit the nut, alternating hits between the 2 nuts.
