Default Just got a 91 Hatch, what engine should I swap?

I just bought a 1991 Civic Hatch 5 Speed. I am going to do a motor swap, but I am not sure which motor to go with? What motor setup would you guys reccomend, I was thinking a B18C1? My main concerns of course are price, and ease of installation. This is my first honda, and my first swap.

What's the BEST engine for my Honda?

Answer:
125cc Honda dirt bike motor. It weighs under 50lbs, revs to 10000rpms, and makes 320hp/liter.

There, now that we solved the question that is constantly on everyone's mind, let's talk about pizza.

Seriously now, the best engine for your honda is WHATEVER YOU CAN AFFORD TO BUY!

If you have $1000, DOHC ZC.
If you have $2000, get a 1st gen b16a. It'll cost that much to get it in.
If you have $4000, get a GSR/B18C1.
If you have $5500, get a ITR/B18C5.
If you have $10K, and no use for your car for a month or two... get a K20.
Edited for the Whiners:
This is NOT a complete list, as there are mini-mes, LS-VTEC swaps, budget/poor man's ITRs, etc. Use the damn search button a bit more religiously.

What's the best engine for boost... the one that gets TUNED properly.
What's the best engine for drag racing... the one you spend the most money on making FAST.
What's the best engine for road racing... same thing.
What's the most reliable engine... the one you MAINTAIN religiously.
What's the cheapest engine... the one that's in your car.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I love the whiner edit, gold.

Haven't seen many of those dirt bike engines swapped in either. You should try strapping 8 of those together to get a 320hp engine that spins to 10k, siic.

personally, i bought the dohc zc. engine and trans and axles for $974 shipped to my door. i get 28 mpg in town and 38 on the highway and it holds its own on the road quite well.

I sometimes wish i would have spent the $2200 and gotten the b16 complete swap, just because I wanted more power. However, due to the fact that I was 17 years old and had little money i'm still pleased with the outcome even now at 21 years old.

if it's your first swap as you say, the zc is incredibly easy. it bolts right in and wires right up.

Look at the FAQs. That means "frequently asked questions," btw. They don't get any more frequent that this one.
