Default pro kit, h tech, or coilovers? w/illuminas

I drive a 92 4WS, I'm looking to drop the lude. I'm can't and don't want to slap it. I'm in NYC and have a rare Erebuni lip I'd like not to scrape. It's my daily driver so droping it more than 1.5 tops is not practical for me.

Therefore, my question is, does anyone have any experience with the h-techs? the drop is supposed to be about an inch. I was also looking at pro-kits. I've seen my friend's lude with S-tech's and his car was a little low for me.

Do the springs drop the car to their measured drop then go a bit lower after they're set?

I'm pretty much set on the illumina's for struts because I want a comfortable ride and adjustable stiffness. I was looking into coilovers but I don't know what to go with. I don't have a lot of money to spend, so getting F2's or D2's are out of the question for me.

Does anyone have any suggestions on struts that are adjustable and will fit on 4ws?

I just saw some pics of the front in the pic thread. Do you think that'll be really low on mine?

Heres some pics of my front end:

I've had the H Techs before and wasn't really impressed. .5" lower and no change in ride or handling. I switched to H&R Sport springs and I love them

Unfortunately it's not practical for me to go with H&R sport springs.

Since the H-tech's are so subtle of a drop, do you think my stock struts will be able to handle them for now, until possibly next summer?
