i ran my 94 GS-R friday and my best time was a 15.27 @ 89 MPH, 60ft = 2.32 . setup is AEM CAI, DC JDM 4-1, Carsound cat, RS*R(old skool) exhaust. my tires are khumo ecsta supra's 195/55-15 on stock 94 GS-R rims and i was running them at 25psi, launching at 3000 RPM and still spinning pretty good off the line. some guy was telling me to drop to 20psi. how low is too low? i was also thinking about getting my sisters stock '00 civic EX rims/tires to use on the front instead of mine that way i dont have to worry about ruining mine. anyone have any suggestions or let me know what tire pressure you usually run. TIA

 

Yeah I wouldn't go much lower than 20psi. You really need some tyres with a larger sidewall eg 60 series.

drop em to like 15psi , youll hook up alot better. my friend runs her ex with 10 psi on the stock tires.

 

that's retarded. You will get much better grip with 20psi than 10psi...unless we're talking about slicks.

don't go below 20psi unless you want a smaller contact patch.
