Was driving today, after i shift from 1st to 2nd, the car stalled and i pulled to a corner. There's was some burning smell for a few seconds.

Trying to start it again. Didn't crank at first try, but later did but the motor didn't start up. Could it be the clutch or pressure plate that's broken? The clutch still feel normal because it broke down.

Any input would be great, as i need the car running quickly and most shops is closed today already.

 

did u check the usual??? fuel, spark, ground, fuse??? year, make, and model?

 

it's a 93 civic dx.

is there a procedure on checking the things you've mentioned?
