Tranny Fluid Change should I???
1995 Honmda Civic LX Auto 118k. Should I change the tranny fluid. It is still red but smells a little. Whats the chance changing it could hurt the tranny? I had a prelude and changed it at 150k and the tranny went a week later. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance!

when was the last time the transmission fluid in the car was changed? if its been a really really really long time, then you're better off leaving the old fluid in. once you change the old fluid out of a transmission that hasnt been serviced in a long time, you run the risk of having your torque converter slip. it happened to me in my old Accord. everyone told me the same story, but i didnt believe them.
i dont know, but i heard that this is more of a common problem for hondas/toyotas than other cars.
