Default Motor question

Hey does anyone know if a 2003 sohc vtec motor is good and would fit a d16z6 transmission?

I think its the D17
the 06+ started the R-series motors.

ive always heard that the z6 is a better motor, that is my opinion other ppl may not think so but that is wut my buddy has now and he loves it, but its not a b series, he still cant keep up with me.

its out of a 2003 ex...will a p28 ecu and d16z6 tranni work? Is it good?

yes the tranny is for a vtec...What about the ecu and wiring harness? Is a p28 good?

i just need to know if the motor is, if the motor is not VTEC the ecu will work BUT when you get up to the VTEC crossover it will run like **** because the ecu will be sending TOO much fuel to the motor and will cause it to run rich

the 2003 motor is vtec...the tranny is from a vtec motor also...need to know about the wiring harness and ecu...if it works

NO THE ECU WILL NOT WORK. The harness will also have some differences.

it wont work chief. d17s use coil packs instead of distributors. As mentioned the wire harness and ecu will not work together.
