Default New to board..Question on Hybrid...

Hey guys, new board member here. I used to have an 88 accord, loved every second I owned it, sold it last year after owning it for 5 yrs with over 255,000 miles on it and still managed to get 1500 for it. oh, and I beat the **** outta it everyday, it just smiled and took it. I went and bought a 1994 trans am, which besides having a new problem everyday, I love it. I did the 98 style conversion to it, if anyone is interested it's at

Well with that in mind, I am looking to get a car for my girlfriend, I can't trust the Trans Am not to brake down for her so I figured the best car for her would be a civic, and of course I get to drive it too so thats a plus. Anyways, we both like the 92-95 2 door civic body styles so I figured this would be a good project for me, and I would also save some money by doing this myself. I'm gonna go and find a body with no motor and probably no tranny. I want to put a motor in it that not only is quick, but gets good gas mileage and is reliable. I probably will put a turbo on it for her eventually, but not at first. I plan on making it an all year round car for her, one that is safe, handles good in the snow and rain (like my old honda did), but is also quick. With this in mind, what motor out of what car can I put into a 92-95 2 door civic, automatic tranny too. Any help is appreciated, and as I did and am doing with the trans am I will post all of my work onto my website so others can benefit from it. Thanks in advance

automatic tranny too
Why not just find one with a motor, and Turbo that. Or you could do a B-Series swap. Both will get you what you are looking for im pretty sure.

well, I like having a project to do, also, with the money I dumped into my Trans Am doing the conversion, and the money I am about to do to it with the 383 stroker, I'm trying to get out of this cheaper than buying a ready to drive car. Or at least something I can do in stages, like buy the car this week, buy the motor in a few weeks, and so on, I'm not good at saving up 5 grand to buy a ready to drive car, and also don't want another loan. Would rather just take a paycheck and buy a part, and continue that until i'm done, i know it don't sound right, but it's the way I wanna do it. thanks for the thought though.
By the way, what is B series?
