Default Tucking tires???how?

Well i just installed my omni power coil over sleeves with skunk2 sport shocks (which i already had). And i soon realized that i rub when turning left or right most of the time. i have a 98 civic with 16" track r's and a 205/45 tire.im not even slammed or anything i just adjusted the coil overs so that the fender is just above the tire, which all in all is probably a 2 1/2"-3" drop from stock.

i was wondering how all those people who are tucking tire get their cars to allow this. im guessing they roll their fenders, but what about the rubbing on the inside on the tires when turning? Is there really any way to stay "slammed" with out rubbing? thanks

no, there's not.

that's why slamming sucks. That, and you lose tons of suspension travel, meaning your handling has gone to bunk.

slammed cars rule...just keep on pulling on your fender until it stops. or just keep driving it till it stops...

If you run wheels with a close to stock offset, cut/modify your fender liners and fenders, then you can run slammed with no rubbing. Or you could try to always drive in a straight line

Different offset wheels, narrower tires, and extending the fenders are about the only ways I can see it happening.

IMO it's dumb.

To be slammed, you need the following.

1) Stiff springs matched with the proper damper
2) Roll your fenders
3) Remove fender liner

I'm tucking my tires by about an inch. 16'' wheels, 205/45/16 tires
Lowered on GC/Koni

you get all kinds of nasty road crap on the metal parts inside the fenders.

Disadvantage: Dirt all in your fenders/door jambs/engine bay.
Advantage: No more tire rubbing on them.

I'd leave them in and let them rub away where necessary.

you get a front camber kit.. it allows you to set the tires to go in or out.. I would set it to go in.. then u bring it to get an allignment.. they adjust the bottom part so that the tires go in also.. ull notice that when u adjust the camber kit for the first time on the front that when u drive it will feel as though ur gonna crash.. be careful driving to an allignment shop..

i'm slammed roughly 2.5inchs or so all around and i hardly bottom out. My suspension runs fine.

To the OP, if your looking to slam your ride, research some more. It can be done without sacrificing too much comfort or $$$.

ummm wtf there is so much false information here. If you dont know what you are talking about or has NEVER experienced thigns please dont give up information you heard about.

I run D2 36 way adjustable coilovers...you wont lose suspension travel with short body shocks...

D2 36 way adjustable coilovers
205/50/15
15 inch grids

i didnt modify anything, i didnt roll my fenders, i dont rub. im tucking 2 inchs in the front and 1 in the rear.

negative camber will help. Do -1--1.5 and get the toe set to zero at the alignment shop.
