Ruckus Question

I didnt even know what this was and never thought of getting a moped/scooter until I came across a thread in GDD about what to put on the license. Anyways. Do they register as mopeds? I am in SC and don't have a license and dont see me getting another one for a bit, but I am eligible to drive a moped. thanks
