I want to make my own swaybar
Hi! This is my first post. Everybody seems very knowledgeable and I hope maybe to tap into that wealth.
I want to fabricate my own rear swaybar for an acura legend. There is absoluetly no aftermarket bar in the USA or Japan (Ive looked lot)
Can anybody point me to some websites or books that mught discuss what materials or tools needed to make one?
Thanks!

I don't really know about Legend aftermarket support, just email some websites and find out. If you really want to make your own swaybar, find some specs on your car, and other Honda swaybars, this will make the fabrication easier. I thought that Legends had rear swaybars.
How To Make Your Car Handle by Fred Puhn has a page or two about making your own sway bar. It doesn't look cheap, he suggests using chromoly which has to be heat treated again after you bend it.
You might check the Yellow Pages to see if there is a circle track racing supplier in your area. They sell components to make ARB (anti-roll bars) - links, arms, tubing and brackets - that might save you a bootyload of time and effort. It is still going to be a fairly tough job and require some skilled welding.
