I'm normally the link-source for info on the internet, and yet I can't find through my hundreds of bookmarks any decent information for high-performance driving schools.
Is there anything at Summit Point or the likes? Anyone in the DC area want to go out and give me some pointers?

Look no further than NASA. http://www.nasaracing.net should get you to the VA Region. As far as I know, they have at least one event later this year at Summit Point as well as an event at VIR (near Danville, VA and Roxboro, NC). On August 9, there's an HPDE run by the NASA Ohio/Indiana Region at BeaveRun Motorsports Park (which I believe is near Pittsburgh, and it's brand new) for $150.
Also, there's always a heads-up as far as events are concerned in the Road Racing/Autocross forum. A great number of the folks in there are from the DC area, as well as Richmond and into the Carolinas, and you'll always know when there's a school nearby.
